Job Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for legal affairs management in Huawei Cote d’Ivoire Rep Office (including Cote d’Ivoire, Guinea, Burkina Faso, Benin and Togo). Provide legal and compliance support for the business in the 5 countries under Huawei Cote d’Ivoire Rep Office.
2. Handle litigation cases: cooperate with external law firms, and handle litigation cases and external investigations based on the professional capabilities.
3. Support compliance requirements: analyze and comply with the 5 countries’ telecommunications laws, labor laws, commercial laws and so on, applicable to Huawei Cote d’Ivoire Rep Office.
4. Provide legal support to the business: review sales contracts, procurement contracts, labor contracts and so on, actively participate in various negotiations.
5. Support to build and develop the capability of the legal team of the 5 countries under Huawei Cote d’Ivoire Rep Office.
6. Other legal-related work based on the requirement of Project Teams or Business Departments.
Work Requirements:
1. Good professional knowledge and practical experiences in Cote d’Ivoire and the neighboring countries in the area of civil, commercial, telecom and labor laws.
2. Have practiced law or worked in big companies, large law firms, or governmental ministries with legal related positions in Cote d’Ivoire.
3. Have at least 5 year’s working experience in the domain of legal and compliance.
4. Clear thinking, rigorous logic, careful and conscientious mindset, with a spirit of consistent study and fighting.
5. Able to withstand the frequent international travel to other neighboring countries and able to work under pressure.
6. Fluent in both English and French is mandatory.
