TALENT PARTNER is recruiting for an international mining company based in Côte d’Ivoire

SENIOR GEOLOGIST

Under the responsibility of the VP Exploration, the main objective of the Senior Geologist is to be responsible to plan and implement programs from early stage stream geochemistry and geophysics through to advanced drilling programs.

You will carry out the following tasks :

• Lead the geological team in the development and implementation of geological programs and procedures.
• Ensure the drilling data, the geological models, and the resource models are delivered in a timely manner to meet corporate deadlines.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the mine operations team.
• Manage the geological database and provide accurate and timely geological information to the mine operations team.
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize mine planning and exploration.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Profil souhaité

Diploma : Degree or equivalent diploma qualification in Geology from recognized tertiary Institution ;

• Level of experience : Minimum of 6 to 10 years experience in mining geology; proven experience in mining research and geological exploration ;

• Knowledge / Skills : understanding of geological processes, database management software (Leapfrog and Micromine) operations; understanding of geological activities associated with all mining and exploration activities; fluent French & English will be a plus.

• Qualities : Have the necessary management and people skills ; be dynamic; be able to work under pressure in a frequent changing environment; teamwork and cooperation.
